About the Class
Speak & Be Heard is a communication class that will teach your middle schooler how to write an engaging story, learn it, and deliver it with confidence, courage, and charisma.
10 Weeks ~ 4 Core Lessons ~ 1 Inspiring Story
Students will have tons of FUN interacting with others with the 4 C’s of connection:
- They will collaborate, using innovative improv techniques.
- They’ll enjoy comfortable conversations by sharing their personal stories and learning how to deliver feedback in a kind and helpful way.
- Communication will not just be with words, but learning how to speak and engage with others more effectively using vocal variety and body language.
- Creativity and imagination will be encouraged, leading to lots of laugh-out-loud moments. And our class will culminate with a graduation ceremony where students will deliver their personal stories and inspire an audience.
Your Child Will...
- Engage in playful activities with a partner and as a group to spark imagination and creativity.
- Practice answering off-the-cuff questions to develop spontaneity.
- Have opportunities to give and receive kind, honest, and helpful feedback to develop effective communication skills.
- Make new friends by sharing their personal, relatable, fun stories!
Graduation Night
Class will culminate with a graduation ceremony where students will deliver their personal stories and inspire the audience. Participation in Graduation Speech Night is required. Parents, family, and friends are welcome!

Speak & Be Heard is a 10-week class, held during the academic school year. We meet once a week, after school.
